AirScout Tactical Policies

I. How to Order

A. Online
1. Orders may be placed online by either setting up an account or by registering as a guest. NOTE: If an order includes firearms parts*, knives*, or airsoft guns*, valid ID is required.
*(See Section VIV. Legal Notices below for more information.)
B. Phone
1. Orders and payment information may be submitted to AirScout by calling 763.441.4476. Voicemails will be returned within 24 hours.
a. If paying by credit card, AirScout requires the following information:
i. Order number
ii. Credit card number
iii. Expiration Date
iv. CVV code (on back of card)
v. Name as it appears on the card
vii. Exact billing address of the card
viii. Phone number
C. Fax
1. Orders may be submitted to AirScout via fax to 763.441.2171. Payment information may be given over the phone by calling 763.441.4476. We do not recommend faxing payment information.
a. If paying by credit card, AirScout requires the following information:
i. Order number
ii. Credit card number
iii. Expiration Date
iv. CVV code (on back of card)
v. Name as it appears on the card

D. Email
1. Orders may be emailed to sales@airscout.net; however, for security purposes, payment information can be directed to an AirScout representative by calling 763.441.4476.

F. Method of Payment
1. Credit Card - Payment may be made via VISA, Mastercard, Discover, or American Express.
2. Money orders and cashier’s checks (payable to AirScout) will also be accepted.
3. Personal checks must be cleared before the order will be shipped.
4. COD’s are not accepted.

II. Order Policies

A. Cancellations
1. Standard orders may be cancelled prior to their processing at no charge.
2. Cancellation of custom orders, such as weapons storage cabinets and weapons storage accessories will be handled on a case by case basis.
B. Returns and Exchanges
1. For warranty returns please contact us first via email or phone.
2. Within 90 days of the date of purchase: New and unused merchandise in original packaging may be exchanged or returned for a full refund.
3. After 90 days of the date of purchase: New and unused merchandise in original packaging may be exchanged or an in-store credit granted.
4. Send the item back in the original packaging if possible or please wrap the item in quality packaging before placing it in a box.
5. Include a copy of the packing slip along with instructions for our return department (e.g. credit, refund, or exchange) or include your name, shipping address, phone number, email address, and reason for the return.

6. Shipping charges will be refunded if wrong item was sent or if the item sent was defective or damaged upon arrival.
7. All refunds will be applied to the credit card used for the original purchase.


III. Tax Rates

A. Minnesota Residents
1. Tax rates are calculated as per MN Department of Revenue and are added to the order total automatically at check-out.
a. The following items are non-taxable in the state of Minnesota (Reference: MN Dept of Revenue Fact Sheet 105)

vii. Watchbands and watches
viii. Hand, elbow and knee guards

IV. Shipping

A. Methods
1. Standard orders (excluding weapons storage cabinets/racks/components) are shipped via UPS or USPS and transit times will vary depending on location.
B. Estimates
1. A shipping estimate is provided at checkout.
C. When the Order Will Ship
1. Most standard orders, with the exception of backorders or out of stock items, will be processed and shipped on the day they are received if the order is received before 3:00 pm CST.
2. See USPS.com and UPS.com for policies regarding shipping timelines to Alaska and Hawaii.
D. Order Tracking and Delivery
1. UPS tracking numbers will be emailed. The order can be tracked via www.ups.com.
E. Weapons Storage Cabinets/Racks/Mobile Transport Carts
1. Weapons Storage Cabinets/Racks will be shipped directly from the manufacturer via ground freight transport, due to their weight and dimensions.
a. Component-only orders may ship via UPS, depending on volume and weight.
2. Shipping estimates will be included in a quote and emailed.
3. The quote must be approved by the customer prior to processing of the order.
F. International
1. At this time, AirScout may process international orders for the following items only (in accordance with International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR, 22 CFR Parts 120-130), the Arms Export Control Act (22 USC 2778), or the Export Administration Act of 1979, as amended (22 USC App. 2401 et. seq.):
a. Apparel – Pants, Shirts, Outerwear (i.e. jackets), Headwear (not helmets), and Footwear.
b. Publications
c. Tactical Gear – Elbow/Knee Guards, slings, holsters, bags and cases, gloves, flashlights, pouches and holders.
2. All other orders must have U.S. billing and shipping addresses.
3. If you would like to order any of the following items, but your current billing/shipping address is an APO/FPO address, please contact us to discuss alternative arrangements:
a. Firearms components and accessories, including magazines
b. Optics
c. Knives
d. Body Armor
e. Ammunition Linkers and links
G. Lost or Stolen Orders
1. AirScout is not responsible for any lost or stolen packages.


V. Out of Stock/Backorders

A. If your order cannot be filled immediately; you will be notified via email.
1. Your order will be kept until filled or processed.
2. No deposit or payment is required or processed on back orders.
3. To the extent possible, we will try to estimate delivery times on back ordered merchandise.


VI. Discounts

A. Military Servicemembers
1. A 5% discount per order is extended to military servicemembers with valid ID. Please email us to obtain your coupon code.


VII. Guarantee

If you are not satisfied with your purchase–the product wasn’t what you ordered, or it was somehow damaged or defective–we will make every effort to either replace it, or take the item back and issue you a credit for purchase price and shipping and handling costs.

Our 90-day return policy on all standard item AirScout orders allows you enough time to use product or wear clothing to test that it is what you needed.

Please return in the original package with your receipt within 90 days for an exchange or refund. Additionally, we’d appreciate any feedback as to why you returned it so we can communicate with the manufacturers about this issue.


VIII. Warranty

AirScout extends the manufacturer’s warranty, when applicable. If the product is defective, the manufacturer may be contacted directly; however, any feedback you can share as to why you returned the product helps us work more effectively with the manufacturers.


VIV. Legal Notices

A. High Capacity Magazines
1. High capacity magazines cannot be sold to the following states:
a. Califonia – Over 10 rounds
i. California Penal Code 12020-12040
b. Hawaii – Over 10 rounds
i. Hawaii. Rev. Stat. § 1348
c. Illinois (Chicago area) – Over 12 rounds
i. Chicago
(§ 820030(i) and 824025) bans the transfer, acquisition or possession of assault
ammunition (any ammunition magazine having a capacity of more than 12 rounds).
ii. Franklin Park
(§ 313G3) bans the transfer, acquisition, possession, manufacture or distribution of assault ammunition (any detachable ammunition magazine having a capacity of more than 16 rounds).
iii. Oak Park
(§§ 2721 and 2712) bans the possession and sale of large capacity feeding devices (magazines with a capacity of more than 10 rounds).
iv. Riverdale
(§ 5.120.180 and 5.120.190) bans the possession, transfer, acquisition or manufacture of assault ammunition (a detachable magazine box with a capacity of “more than 35 rounds centerfire.”).
d. Maryland – Over 20 rounds
i. Maryland Criminal Law Code § 4-305(b)
e. Massachusetts – Over 10 rounds
i. Massachusetts Gen. Laws ch. 140, § 121)
f. New Jersey – Over 15 rounds
i. New Jersey Rev. Stat § 2C:399h
g. New York – Over 10 rounds
i. New York Penal Law § 265.00(23)
h. Washington, D.C. – Over 10 rounds
B. Airsoft Guns - Requirements
1. You must be at least 18 years of age to purchase airsoft guns.
a. A valid photo ID is required to be submitted AFTER creating an online account or placing an order.
i. Please mail, email or fax your photo ID to AirScout.
2. Airsoft guns have a bright orange tip at the end of the barrel in compliance with federal law and regulations.
a. Removing the bright orange tip from an airsoft gun for sale or transportation is a federal offense.
b. AirScout will not be held responsible for any airsoft gun modifications.
c. Modifications may void any and all warranties.
3. AirScout is not responsible for any injuries and/or damages caused by user errors, lack of adult supervision, and/or careless or reckless behavior.
4. It is recommended that protective eyewear be worn when operating an airsoft gun.
5. Always point an airsoft gun in a safe direction.
6. AirScout is not responsible for any legal actions, liabilities, damages, penalties, claims, or other obligations pertaining to your ownership of airsoft guns.
7. The buyer is responsible for being in compliance with local laws and regulations. Contact your local law enforcement officials if you need this information.
8. Applicable federal and/or state laws provide that the use of an airsoft gun in a crime may carry the full ramifications of a real firearm or weapon.
9. It is recommended that airsoft guns not be displayed in view of the public.
10. It is recommended that airsoft guns be transported in the same manner as authentic firearms (i.e. in cases or gun bags).
C. Hazardous Material Items – Shipping
1. Pressurized gas, cleaning solvents, and batteries may be transported via ground transport only.
a. Orders
i. If an order is placed that includes any of the above items, the item will be shipped separately from the rest of the order, unless the entire order is selected for ground shipping.
ii. Upon request, the entire order may be shipped via Ground Service.  
D. International Orders
1. E. Firearms Parts – Serial Numbers
1. Any serialized part is a firearm and must be shipped to a valid Federal Firearms Licensee (FFL). Please submit the FFL holder’s contact information (phone, email address, and address) so that we may contact them regarding your order. If you are the FFL holder, please submit a copy of your valid license via email, fax, or mail.
F. Firearms Parts – Upper Receivers and Barrel Assemblies
1. You must be at least 18 years of age to purchase firearms parts.
2. A valid photo ID is required to be submitted AFTER creating an online account or placing an order.
a. Mail, email or fax your photo ID to AirScout.
G. Knives
1. You must be at least 18 years of age to purchase firearms parts.
2. A valid photo ID is required to be submitted AFTER creating an online account or placing an order.
a. Mail, email or fax your photo ID to AirScout.

X. Security and Privacy Notices

A. Security Policy
1. AirScout.net is PCI compliant and actively maintains its security compliance certificate.
a. Credit cardholder information is not stored by AirScout in electronic or hard copy form.
2. AirScout.net maintains an active SSL certificate.
B. Privacy Policy
1. We do not share personal contact information with anyone unless required to by law and/or certified government agencies.


XI. Terms of Use

A. By using Airscout.net, you consent to the following Terms of Use.
1. As stated in our Privacy Policy, AirScout will not sell, trade, or share personal information unless required to by law. 
2. The content on Airscout.net is for information purposes only and you agree that your use of and browsing is at your risk.  AirScout, its employees and agents, are not liable for any direct, indirect, special, punitive or consequential damages resulting from any (i) errors, mistakes, or inaccuracies of content, (ii) personal injury or property damage, of any nature whatsoever, resulting from your access to and use of AirScout.net, (iii) any unauthorized access to or use of our secure servers and/or any and all personal information and/or financial information stored therein and whether or not AirScout is advised of the possibility of such damages.
3. You agree to defend, indemnify and hold harmless AirScout, its employees or agents against all third party claims, actions or demands, liabilities, and settlements, including, without limitation, reasonable attorney's fees, arising in connection with your use of Airscout.net or resulting from, or alleged to result from, your use of Airscout.net or your violation of these Terms of Use.
4. AirScout has taken reasonable efforts to ensure that the information contained in Airscout.net is accurate; however, all information is provided "as is" without any express or implied warranties, including but not limited to the implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement. In addition, by using Airscout.net and viewing the content on the site, including but not limited to instructional articles and videos, you understand and agree that all firearms and airsoft guns are potentially dangerous if handled improperly and can pose risks and hazards to yourself and others, which may result in property damage, serious injury or death. Any advice, guidance or other information provided on Airscout.net cannot completely anticipate your situation, and shall not create any express or implied warranty of any kind, regardless of any omission or inaccuracy of information contained on Airscout.net.

AirScout does not warrant that a person may legally purchase, possess, or carry specific items offered. By placing an order, you warrant that you are a legal adult without legal disabilities which would prohibit you from ordering, owning, possessing, or transferring these items under applicable federal, state, or local laws. You also warrant that you are in complete compliance with local, state, and federal laws.

5. AirScout assumes no responsibility and shall not be liable for any damages to, or viruses that may infect, your computer equipment or other property on account of your access to, use of, or browsing in Airscout.net or your downloading of any materials, data, text, images, video, or audio from Airscout.net.
6. All right, title and interest in Airscout.net and any content contained herein is the exclusive property of AirScout, except as otherwise stated.  The trademarks, logos, and service marks displayed on Airscout.net (collectively the "Trademarks") are the trademarks of AirScout or their respective third-party owners.  Under no circumstances may you alter, modify, or change these Trademarks.  You are prohibited from using the Trademarks for any purpose without the expressed written permission of AirScout or such third party, which may own the Trademarks.
7. Airscout.net may contain links to other websites operated by third parties other than AirScout. Such links are provided for convenience only. AirScout does not control such websites and is not responsible for their content. The fact that Airscout.net contains links to sites operated by third parties other than AirScout does not necessarily mean that AirScout approves of, endorses or recommends those sites, nor does it imply any association with their operators. 9. AirScout may at any time revise these Terms of Use by updating this posting. You are bound by any such revisions and should therefore periodically visit this page to review the current Terms of Use to which you are bound.
10.The illegality or unenforceability of any provision of these Terms of Use shall not affect the validity and enforceability of any legal and enforceable provisions of these Terms of Use.
